Onikore Privacy Policy

Onikore ("the App") is designed with your privacy as the top priority.

1. Location Data

• The App collects location data (GPS) to track your progress driving Japan's national routes, including background recording (you can toggle recording on/off at any time).
• All location data is stored only on your device. It is never sent to the developer's servers or any cloud service.
• Your drives are converted on-device into "driven areas" (approx. 80m grid cells), and the original GPS logs are also kept only on your device.

2. National Ranking (Opt-in)

• The ranking feature is strictly opt-in. Unless you join, no data leaves your device.
• If you join, only these four items are transmitted: an anonymous random ID, your nickname (free text), completion percentage, and total distance driven (km).
• Your routes, location history, and photos are never transmitted.
• You can leave the ranking at any time and delete your submitted data.

3. Photos

• Photos attached to routes are stored only on your device and are never uploaded.
• Photo location metadata (EXIF) is read on-device only, to place pins on the map.

4. Backups

• The backup feature exports all your data into a single file only when you explicitly request it. You choose the destination (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or any target in the share sheet). The developer has no access to this file.

5. In-App Purchases

• Purchases are processed by your app store (Apple's App Store or Google Play). The developer never receives your name, address, or payment details.
• RevenueCat (a purchase management service) is used to manage purchase status; it receives only an anonymous identifier and purchase information.

6. Ads & Tracking

• The App displays no ads and contains no behavioral tracking or analytics SDKs.
